Sambhunath Chattopadhyay (1930 – 2018) lived in Manirampur, on the outskirts of Kolkata, India. In his lifetime he worked as a factory worker, hawker, medical representative, deed-writer, guitar teacher, stage performer and a proofreader for a daily newspaper. He never got due recognition as a poet in his lifetime from his contemporaries. His poetry is simple, serene, mystic and closely associated with nature.
