Onset by Mitra Samal
I feel your absence as intensely
as the howling of dark nights,
the shadows of silent lamps,
and as a final attempt to escape
the violent waves of a mournful mind.
A loss that doesn’t reflect
in your gleaming eyes,
nor a pain that can pierce a heart.
None of these creates a sensation anymore.
Can I kill what’s already finished?
Healing initiates a new dawn.
